Confronting the Minute Men – A Photo Essay

On Saturday, October 15th a cross-border demonstration to oppose and confront the Minutemen was held on the U.S. / Canadian border between Vermont and Quebec. The Minutemen are an organization of armed vigilantes who actively patrol sections of the U.S./ Mexico border attempting to prevent migrants from crossing into the U.S. The Minutemen recently announced their plans to being patrolling section of the U.S. / Canadian border and traveled to Vermont in October 2005 but were met with demonstrations to confront their presence on both sides of the border. View a series of photos which documents the trip of Montreal activists who traveled to the border under the banner “Minutemen Go Home!”, to participate in cross-border demonstrations against the Minutemen.
