JOURNEE INTERNATIONALE D'ACTION: DEUX ANS DE TROP! UN STATUT POUR KADER!

New York, Londres, Hague, Berlin, Paris, Athènes, Durban (Afrique du sud), Beyrouth, Wellington (Nouvelle-Zélande), Tokyo, Vancouver, Red Deer (Alberta), Simcoe (Ontario), Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax et Montréal.

Le 1er janvier 2006, voilà deux ans déjà, Abdelkader Belaouni (Kader), un homme d'origine algérienne réfugié et sans statut au Canada, a pris refuge dans l'église St-Gabriel à Montréal afin d'éviter la déportation de Canada. Malgré les nombreux appuis reçus, à ce jour Kader demeure confiné à l'église dont il est à toutes fins pratiques prisonnier, dans l'impossibilité de quitter les lieux sous risque d'être arrêté et déporté. Cette situation dure depuis deux ans déjà et c'est déjà deux ans de trop !

Le 18 janvier, journée internationale d'action, nous avons envoyé un message fort et clair à la ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l'Immigration du Canada, afin de l'inciter à agir MAINTENANT pour régulariser le statut et rendre sa liberté à Abdelkader Belaouni.
