On June 21, 2005, as refugees and their allies were marching to Ottawa, five children were seized in their Montreal apartment by Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) officials. Genesis (3 years old and a Canadian citizen), Samanta (6), Leonel (7), Brandon (11) and Karla (18) were arrested at home in a raid by the CBSA, just after their parents -- Lilia and Jose -- left for work. Solidarity Across Borders mobilizes to support the family, at their detention review hearings, and at the airport in a last-ditch attempt to stop their deportation.
