Pictured is a monument in the middle of Burj el-Shemali refugee camp constructed by camp residents to honor the victims of the 1982 al-Hooli massacre, which in the refugee camps of Lebanon is commonly referred to as the forgotten massacre. The al-Hooli massacre took place during the Israeli invasion, Palestinian women and children took shelter in a sports club in Burj el-Shemali called al-Hooli, which was bombed by phosphoric bombs that took the lives of 93 refugees, with only three women survivors.
