On 1 March 2007, the Committee to support Abdelkader Belaouni organized a community supper and cabaret called Community Sanctuary, a celebration of struggles for justice in Point Saint Charles. Point Saint Charles is an historically poor and working class neighbourhood in Montreal, Quebec.
