Security certificates are just a beginning

If the new law passes, it will further normalize 'preventive' detention and house arrest on the basis of suspicions, indefinite imprisonment and deportation to torture, as well as institutionalizing a model (the "special advocate") which can help to legitimize increased use of secrecy in other areas of the legal system.
